Happy Week 15!

I'm a little late with this week's post, but needless to say, Week 15 was a busy one. Between celebrating Memorial Day weekend with a trip to the mall (our new favorite place) and to the World of Coke (where everyone in Atlanta was during the holiday weekend), and not to mention several fun restaurant meals thrown in, we stayed busy and kept Mr. E mostly happy. 

It goes without saying that we can't believe how fast our little guy is growing, and that we're enjoying this adventure.

The Official Week 15 Photos

Random shots from around the house... Clearly, E is not a big fan of the green outfit we picked out. And, you have to love that bottom photo, he is so cute while he sleeps (at least, I think so)...

Here are shots from our new favorite place - the mall! Who knew how much fun a mall could be with a baby during an Atlanta summer? It is the perfect place - air conditioning, no sun and plenty of things for E to stare at. Enjoy our makeshift mall photoshoot...

 

If we loved the mall because of the air conditioning, lack of direct sun and relative peacefulness, our next adventure was nearly the complete opposite...the World of Coke. Little did we know that the entire (or what seemed like the entire) City of Atlanta would have the same idea to visit the World of Coke and the Aquarium during a holiday weekend. Despite braving really hot weather and long lines, we managed to have fun and little E was a real champ.

At first, E slept while we waited in line...

...but eventually, like us, he realized it was way too hot outside.

Happy Memorial Day...Hope everyone is enjoying the 3-Day Weekend as much as we are.

Happy 14 Weeks!

I can't believe it, but another Wednesday is here. We are now in the middle of our first full week of being back to work and school. So far,  I think we are all doing OK. Strangely, it is beginning to feel very normal to go to bed around 10 and wake up around 5. At least I get to come home earlier most days and it seems like our little guy is starting to sleep more regularly. Hopefully, I'm not jinxing us!

In any event, it is hard to believe our little man is already 14 weeks old. Where does the time go?

Even though work has cut into our weekday fun, we still had fun with our little guy over the weekend...

We were so happy to see that this onesie that we bought in NYC finally fit!

And, as you can tell from the below shots, E is starting to discover his toys - he especially loves the hexagon shaped toy.

As proof we might be raising a foodie, E enjoyed his first trip to an authentic Buford Highway taqueria this weekend (El Rey del Taco was super yummy BTW), and he has so far been mostly cooperative watching me cook from the latest cookbook I checked out from the library. Maybe he's a secret Giada fan?

Last, but not least, here are some of the B-Sides from our photoshoot this week. As you may be able to tell, E is getting really squirmy and the chair pictures are becoming nearly impossible. Nevertheless, we find them highly entertaining.

Enjoy and Happy Wednesday - just think, a holiday weekend is just around the corner. Is it bad that I am already looking forward to a short week???

Lucky Number 13 and Happy 3 Months!

Little did he know, but E's 13th week and 3rd month brought many changes to his young life. As baby vacay ended, Mr. E went to school for the first time and I finally had to go back to work. In other words, this week marked a big transition in our lives. Thankfully, it looks like E has adjusted like a champ. And, after hearing how E is now making new friends, enjoying music time and making art projects, I'm beginning to feel like E's in pretty good hands.

The week got off to a good start with a successful trial run at daycare, so I guess these pictures are the official first day of school pics:

Tuesday was much more fun...we marked E's 3 month birthday with a professional photoshoot, breakfast at West Egg, and my last day at home with him. What a fun day!

The Official 3 Month Photos. According to our admittedly rough calculations, Mr. E entered his 3rd month at 11.6 pounds and 23 1/2 inches long...he's a growing boy. Hopefully, as he approaches the magic 12 pound mark, his sleeping will continue to improve. My fingers are definitely crossed!

Now, if you are still reading, Wednesday was the big day. It was not only the beginning of E's 13th week,  it also marked the official end of one chapter (baby vacay) and the beginning of another (work and school). A big day indeed!
