We're in Double Digits - Happy 10th Week!

Another Wednesday, another week... Apparently, E was so excited by his birthday, that he couldn't sleep. Maybe he likes his big baby crib more than his bassinet? Either way, the thought that he will ever sleep through the night seems like a very distant goal at this point. Instead, it feels like we have been living with a 3 week old instead of a 10 week old at night. Oh well, at least he is fun and happy during the day.

This week has been filled with lots of friends and family - with visitors from as far away as Arizona and New York, and even his grandparents and grand-dog from Florida. What a popular guy! Below are some fun shots from the week. As you can tell, lots of excitement.  Is it bad that E's first nap in his crib without bumpers is a highlight of the week?

Happy 10 Weeks!

Happy Earth Day Weekend

Hope everyone had a great weekend. In case you didn't know, this past Sunday was Earth Day. Sadly, besides not driving anywhere (other than Publix), we did not do much to celebrate. Instead, we had lots of fun playing with our little man and tackling a few projects. Earlier in the weekend, E was a champ hanging out at a small group cookout and later at a birthday party. E is getting excited to meet all of his future buddies, especially for baby H, who will be here before we know it and who will be living right around the corner. J and I are excited for all of the new babies who will soon be with us. It's so exciting!

We hope everyone has a great week. E and I are gearing up for his first trip to the airport this afternoon to pick up his Aunt, and then later lots of family time with his grandparents and grand-dog (is that a term)? That's right, in a matter of hours, we'll have a packed house. Should be interesting...

Sneak Peak from one weekend project:

Perhaps more important to our long-term sanity, project #2 for the weekend, getting Mr. E ready for sleeping in his crib. Up until Monday morning, I would call this a success. As of this morning, I might be changing my story... Fingers crossed that our little man will soon grow to love his "big baby" bed.
No, we didn't spend all of our spare weekend time bathing our child, I just thought these photos were too cute not to post. J thought it would be funny to launch a ducky takeover in E's bath:

Last, but not least, thank you Buddy for the cute UGA towel....I think E is a big fan:

 Happy Monday everybody!

Happy Nine Weeks!

It is hard to believe another week has passed and that our little boy is already approaching the double digits in the number of weeks old. While we started the week getting the two month shots, the high points of the week included visits to The Forum and CFA, and visiting with friends at the end of the week. E actually had his first baby play date this week, and who knows, he might have met his first girlfriend! Despite the excitement of the above, I think the highlight of the week (at least for me) has to be E's sleeping.  He slept for a 7 hour stretch one day this week - let's hope this is a trend that continues!

Thank you Mr. E for a great week - please feel free to keep up the good sleeping:)

The Official 9 Week Photos:

Proof to J that we actually practice tummy time. Amazingly, we do seem to be making progress, E will tolerate tummy time for about 5 minutes before throwing a fit now:

We also played with the Bumbo - this presents the perfect opportunity for some Goldie and E bonding:
E is in deep thought...wonder what he is thinking about?

Shots from our baby play date. Lesson learned, when babies are 2 months and 8 months respectively, the play dates are really just an excuse for the parents to get together. Who doesn't love mommy bonding time? At least E played along, and thanks to Erin for being a great host. Who knows, maybe E and baby C will be an item one day? As the bottom picture shows, the two haven't bonded quite yet. Poor Mr. E, maybe next time.

Another first to report this week - E found his fingers. I was wondering what made him magically stop crying on the way home one day. That is when I snapped this pic. Sorry for the iPhone picture:

Last, but not least, here are a few of the B-sides from yesterday's photoshoot. I think the trend is continuing of the best pictures coming from E's big chair:

OK - off to enjoy Domino magazine (yay, it's back) that I bought this past week before Mr. E wakes up again. Enjoy!

Camo and Shots Anyone? - Happy 2 Months!

Camo and shots.... No, this isn't a post about a hunting trip or a shopping jaunt to the Bass Pro Shop. Instead, this post is all about E's big trip to the doctor last week and turning the big 2 - months that is. In what I hope will be E's closest contact with camo, our little man readied himself for his two month birthday by going to the doctor.

E had a fantastic doctor's visit. Although he is still tiny (in the 25% percentile for his age), he is a stud when it comes to rolling over during tummy time and blowing bubbles (or making raspberries as the doctor calls it). In addition to showing off his talents for the doctor, E had the traumatic experience of getting his two month vaccinations. Sadly, I'm a bad mom and have already forgotten which shots he received. The important thing is that he survived the shots with flying colors and spent the weekend rocking some camo bandaids and giving us some extra sleep. Now that the shots and camo bandaids (and sleepy baby) are behind us, our little man is ready to be unleashed into the world to collect all sorts of germs. Can't wait!

E was not happy leaving the doctor's office

But, he was back to his happy self by the time we got home. Note the stylish bandaids. Wonder what style little girls get?

Goldie is E's unofficial baby-sitter!
Last, but not least, here are the official monthly photos - I still can't decide which one is my favorite, so I narrowed it down to a few of my favorites. And for the official monthly stats, at 2 months our little man was 9lbs.15oz and 22 inches long. Who knows, he may be an official 10 pounder by now!

Happy Birthday, Big Guy!
