Welcome Spring and Week 5

E's fifth week coincided with the official first day of Spring. In addition to more warm weather, blooming dogwood and cherry trees, and record-setting pollen levels, this week's big thrills came from settling into a routine (well almost), E playing with his new toys and E getting his one-month check-up. We were happy to hear that our little man is growing like a weed, his official one month weight was 8 pounds/11.4 ounces and he was 20 3/4 inches long. Its crazy think that he has gained almost 2 pounds from his lowest weight of 6 pounds/13 ounces. At least all of the newborn clothes still fit!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day and Week 4

Although Week Four meant saying goodbye to Auntie Allison, it also marked E's first month and first holiday, St. Patrick's Day. Apart from finding the perfect green outfit, this week E visited Piedmont Hospital (to meet mom's doctors and to return greenie), met his cute cousin Rachel, and helped us celebrate the St. Patrick's Day holiday with a brunch with Small Group friends. It was a great week, and E topped it off with a first smile - at his mobile, so we're not sure we can count it for the baby book. It still counts as being cute and blog-worthy though.

Welcome Allison! - Life at 3 Weeks (March 1 - March 10)

The first week (well, the first 10 days) of March was an exciting time for us. E met his great aunt and uncle who live in Indonesia and his Auntie Allison, who visited for the week from New York. The week was also marked by other important firsts like E's first trip to Target and E turning over during tummy time. Last, but certainly not least, this was the week that E finally started gaining weight, and by the end of the week he topped 8 pounds, which meant we could finally put Baby Bjorn to good use. What a week (or ten days)!

February Photos - The First 2 Weeks

Here are a few of our favorites from the first month. E came 2 weeks early, so we got to enjoy the second half of February with Mr. E (and I got 2 weeks off of being pregnant). Yay!

Mr. E - we were so glad we could finally take you home from the hospital, even if you came home 2 days later. Now, if we could only figure out how to feed you and how to make you sleep (and make you gain weight). Wow, those first two weeks are a blur...but we all survived.
