More Fall...Hello Halloween, Thanksgiving and a Trip to Lake Nottely

At this point, Halloween and Thanksgiving are almost a blur. But, thanks to Mr. E, we had fun celebrating them both and sneaking up to Lake Nottely in between the two holidays with some friends. It truly was a great, if not busy, Fall 2013.

A fun sign of fall...hunting for pumpkins at Bert's Pumpkin Patch in Jasper, Georgia. This was our second visit and by far, it was much more fun bringing E with us. Not surprisingly, E loved hunting for pumpkins and wanted to bring them all home with him. This explains the record number of pumpkins hanging around our house in the middle of December...

Signs of fall and an attempt at a photo shoot at the new house...

Halloween 2013 - we don't have the pictures to prove it, but E had fun learning the ropes of trick-or-treating with his new buddies. Maybe by next year, he will have figured it out. In the meantime, we loved our baby elephant...and our attempt at a painted pumpkin. Next year, an easier stencil will definitely be in the works!

Another fun fall outing...Lake Nottely. As you can see, even though the weather wasn't great, we had fun relaxing at the lake with friends. Coincidentally, this trip marked the beginning of E's obsession with the YouTube video, "What Does the Fox Say?". Needless to say, life will never be the same. For proof, check out E watching the video in the last photo:) A month later, he knows the words to the song and all of the dance moves. Uh oh...

Last, but not least, Thanksgiving 2013. It was so nice visiting Jasper instead of hosting the big event. Thanks to Richard and Debbie for putting out a big spread and for being great hosts. A perk of being in Jasper over a holiday weekend...test driving jeeps at Jasper Jeep. I think E wants a Wrangler (just like his dad)!

We hope everyone had a great holiday...time to get ready for Christmas 2013! E is getting in the spirit by watching his first Christmas tree lighting:)
There, we did it...we're caught up.

Until next time...thanks for reading:)

Apalachicola and Aunt Allison's Wedding...

A definite, if not, definitive highlight of Fall 2013...The Hahn-Goodman wedding. Who knew Apalachicola, Florida was so awesome?! Kudos to Allison and Jared for planning and hosting a fabulous wedding. We had a great time and are so happy for them. Welcome to the family, Uncle Jared!

Here are some of our favorite photos from the weekend...can't wait to see the professional ones, until then, see below for a sneak peek:)

The "ring bear" - Mr. E was the ring bearer extraordinaire. Congrats big guy, you were awesome!

It was so much fun venturing around Apalachicola. With the yummy food, charming city, lots of walking and warm weather...we can't wait to go back.

In addition to being excellent wedding planners, apparently Allison and Jared could also be t-shirt designers. This has to be one of the cutest shirts ever. Don't cry ladies...

Hanging out around town...love those buoys!

Allison's shower at Tamara's. Not the easiest thing to plan, but it turned out great. Congrats Mrs. Goodman! Of course, a big thank-you also needs to go out to the co-hosts extraordinaire, Paige and Marna.

Thank you again to Kristin for watching Mr. E...you're the best!

Last, but not least, a wedding pic....or three courtesy of Woodland Fields Photography. More professional pics please:)

Thanks for reading....until next time...

Hello Again...from Amelia Island and Beyond

Just in time for the holidays, we're back!

In between celebrating Auntie Allison's wedding, welcoming fall in the Georgia mountains and staying busy around town, the past few months have been a blur. Here are all of those photos we have been promising to share.

First off, many thanks to Bella Blue Photography for these lovely pictures from Amelia Island. It was hard to pick a favorite, so here are a few...

Back from the beach, one of E's favorite local field trips...the zoo. Here he is enjoying some of his favorite animals. Who knew that this trip would inspire E's 2013 Halloween costume?

Can you tell that elephants are a favorite?! Until we can go on a safari, hello zoo...

Little did I know then, but here is the last monthly photoshoot.

Happy Month 19!

The school photographer was fortunately more successful.

The Official Fall 2013 School Photo:

Of course, some random, mostly i-phone shots...why not?!

Go Dawgs! I think this was the South Carolina game. Note my super-cool UGA shirt from Auntie Allison. Thanks sis:)

Last, but not least, proof we undertook at least one DIY project/attempt at fall decorating. My Hobby Lobby wreath, which actually survived the fall season. Can't wait to take it out next year. Now, if I could only get our Christmas wreath on the door...

Stay tuned...more photos are coming:)
