Long time, no see. Needless to say, we have been in vacation mode over here at coming up cohns. Now that school is back in session and September is around the corner, it is the perfect time to update the blog.
Between discovering the local pool, visiting the Georgia Aquarium, eating lots of yummy CSA produce and taking E on his first beach trip to Amelia Island, it has been a great summer. Here are a few photos and notes to remember those moments.
The Official Month 17-18 Photos and Stats:
The square trend continues...and yes, we still can't bring ourselves to cut that hair. Month 17: 27.2 pounds (75th percentile), 31 inches tall (25th percentile) & Month 18: 28.3 pounds (90th percentile), 32 inches tall (40th percentile). With any luck, we will be able to report back in Month 19 that the paci is gone. We'll see.
In what I hope will soon become a regular event, this summer E discovered baking. Here he is discovering blondies for the first time. Poor thing didn't want to surrender the bowl to put his creation in the oven. He sure didn't mind eating them though once he finished napping...
This might be one of my favorite E photos.
One of the best summer memories - E's swimming lessons.
Here he is getting ready for Class #1.
Outside of the Y pool, E's high chair is probably one of our top photo backdrops. If only because it forces E to stay still. Looks like we have a good eater on our hands. E has especially enjoyed our CSA bounty...even the celery.
Lest we forget a major summer holiday, Fourth of July.
Maybe next year we will summon the energy to actually use our Peachtree numbers.
A special thanks goes to Ms. P and her wonderful photos of Mr. E during the day. Thank you for being such a great teacher.
Any mention of summer has to include our varied dining adventures. Even with an active little one on hand, we discovered some fun dining spots. Some high spots for the summer - Victory Sandwich Bar (both locations) and General Muir. The next time we visit GM, I need to take some pics!
One of the best summer discoveries - the Georgia Aquarium.
E loves the "fishies" and his pet dolphin. Who knew how valuable an Annual Pass could be, much less, how much E would continue to love his dolphin buddy.
Of course, we also did our fair share of hanging out at home.
Stay tuned, maybe we'll get some painting done in time for the holidays.
Goofing off at REI - why not?!
Look at our budding soccer star. Dad is especially proud.
Favorite Subjects - some father-son bonding:
Last, but not least, a few shots from our trip to Amelia Island. Needless to say, we had a great time. Whether it was watching E wade into the ocean for the first time or enjoying one of several good meals, it was a perfect trip. Here are a few of our favorite pics.
Thanks for stopping by.
Until then, the countdown to UGA football is officially on!
