Week 40 - Happy Thanksgiving!

A three-day work week and a holiday filled with family, friends and lots of food, Week 40 has to be one of the best weeks yet. Thankfully, E was a trooper - not only did he "help" us get ready for Thanksgiving, but he also seemed to enjoy hanging out with his cousin, Miss H and all of the other Thanksgiving guests.

We are so thankful to have this little guy in our family. Happy First Thanksgiving, Mr. E!

And, an ode to E's literary skills...

Last, but not least, the B-sides:

We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.
Best wishes for a great week!

Week 39 - Turning 9 Months and Counting Down to Turkey!

It's finally here...not only is E now 9 months, but the holiday season has officially begun with Thanksgiving literally around the corner.

While we began our preparations for Thanksgiving and hosting our big crowd, E kept us entertained with his army crawl and general cuteness. And we have the Georgia Bulldogs to thank for another good football weekend (we won't mention that other team we root for in our house).

All in all it was a great week, made even better by the fact that next week will be short and holiday-filled. Bring on the turkey!!!

E is not so happy about being 39 (weeks)

Notwithstanding the unhappy face above, here are the official Week 39 photos:

Part of the territory in turning 9 months, the beginning of baby proofing. Here is E in his "new" crib...Goldie loves that E is at her level now!

Another fun development of turning 9 months, E's food choices are expanding. Now we're venturing into puffs, yogurt, cheese and even some fruits and veggies that do not come from a jar. As you can see, E (and Goldie) are big fans:

In addition to expanding E's palate, we began preparing for Thanksgiving this week. Finding a cute outfit for E was, of course, one of the first things we checked off of our list. Thank goodness the nine month size I ordered months ago still fit when the time came.

So, maybe this wasn't the best week to put E in USC gear. At least he looks cute.
No comment on how the SC football team is doing this year.
And yes, E is the only one in the house that can do a split.

Now, for some non-collage pictures this week.
See below for a few random ones from around the house...

And, last but not least, the B-sides:

Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving week!

Happy 9 Months!

Better late than never, right? Happy Nine Months, Mr. E.

The official nine months stats: 27 3/4 inches long and 21 pounds/6 ounces...we have a growing boy on our hands. Welcome to the 25th percentile for height and the 70th percentile for weight, big boy. We love our little big square (and his Baby Boden outfit)!

Week 38 - Elections, Blog Meetings and Lost Pooches...Oh My!

Another week, another election day...and the same president...welcome to Week 38!

In addition to experiencing his first election day, this week Mr. E enjoyed a meeting of the blogs  (insert shout out to A&W Root Here) and he scored an assist rescuing two cute pooches. Exciting times to say the least!

It is hard to believe that our little man will be nine months in just a few days. Where is the time going?

The Official Week 38 Photos:

Don't let the "official" pictures fool you, someone is clearly up to some trouble.
Note the sneaky grin...these photoshoots are beginning to get difficult.

Election Day was one of the major highlights of the week....if not E's lifetime....
On a side note, I must say that when it is cold and rainy outside, it sure is nice to have a baby with you. Thank you election officials for letting us go to the front of the line and allowing us to wait inside:)

In addition to voting, E found time this week to help rescue two lost pooches.
Thank goodness they had tags and we Jason was able to take them home. I think E was a little disappointed they had to leave...though I'm not sure that Goldie was too sad when they left.

When not serving his patriotic duty or rescuing his canine companions, E entertained us by being cute... a favorite photo from the week:

We also had fun lunching with our bloggy friends.
E had such a good time, that he just couldn't stay awake for our trip to Costco...

This week we have also been busy putting E through the paces and testing various aspects of his development. I see someone standing by the window...

Last, but not least, my favorite boys...

Enjoy the B-sides!

Have a great week and Go Dawgs!
