Week 49 - colds and spring cleaning oh my....

Week 49 - Wow! The invitations for E's party are out and the date is set for the one year photos, it is finally starting to feel official.

In addition to battling a mild stomach bug and a cold, we finally started tackling some cleaning out and organization projects this week. Oh and we just might be moving (let's see how next weekend goes). Just another quiet January around here...

Congrats Mr. E on surviving Round 1 of the cold and flu season...and for learning how to wave this week. And how could we forget, congrats go out to Lindsay F. on her wedding (we had such a great time) and to Auntie Allison and soon to be Uncle Jared for getting engaged this weekend. What a week and it is still only January!

The Official Week 49 Pics

Battling the lateness daycare illness meant lots of time indoors this week....so, here we are...
Tackling some spring cleaning projects around the house with Mr. E..
The best part - taking all of that stuff to Goodwill:)

Bundled up and ready for school...

Giving mom the evil eye while playing...gotta love the cute Conde Nast hair band ball from Auntie Allison, I don't think E fully appreciates it.

Some outtakes from the photo shoot...notice how props have become an absolute necessity.
Gotta love the map of Paris fabric, ready for a field trip, E?

Don't judge, but here is a before pic...the painters are coming tomorrow....

Hope everyone has a great week - especially Lindsay and Auntie Allison with their exciting news:)
 Enjoy!

Week 48 - The Four Week Countdown Has Begun!

Another MLK weekend in the books and here we are at the four week countdown until E turns 1...or 52 weeks for those who are counting.

Apart from the battles with the stomach bug (and school), Week 48 was great, made even better with a long weekend (apart from the Falcons) and celebrating E's 11 month day. We know E must have loved it as he got lots of baby time this weekend - hanging out with his school buddy, Miss E, and many of his other baby buddies. Thank you E for being on your best behavior at nearly all of the restaurants we visited. Hopefully, the Flying Biscuit will let us come back:)

All in all, it was a great week and we can't believe we are entering into our last month of our baby boy's first year!

 The Official Week 48 Pics:

Happy 11-Month Day!
Officially, E weighs 22.8 pounds and is 28.5 inches tall (basically a square according to babycenter's growth chart calculator). But it is even more scary to think that in less than a month our little baby will be a one year old.

Now that E is officially a "monkey" pulling up on everything and crawling all over the place at high speeds, it is rare to find quiet moments like this...but they're priceless...

Instead, our little man is usually a crawling machine...watch out!

Watch out for the bat...

Yikes, before long, he'll be maneuvering this around...we're scared!

Last, but not least, chillin' on our afternoon walk.
Love these two (and the hat):)

Hope everyone has a great week!

Happy, Happy New Year....Weeks 46-47

So much for being a better blogger in 2013... Anyways, we're back for Weeks 46-47:)

Here we are at the beginning of 2013 and near the end of E's first year. The first few weeks of 2013 have brought us lots of fun with our little man whether it be packing up Christmas, eating lots of yummy food or contemplating big changes. E also rang in the new year with his first graduation. Congrats big boy on transitioning from being a duck to being a monkey. As my mom said, I guess that means he'll soon be swinging off the furniture:)

If the first few weeks of the month are any indication, it sure will be interesting to see what 2013 brings. Happy New Year!!!

New Year = New Year's Food
Clearly, I need to work on food photography... oh well, it still tasted good

Another New Year's tradition - cleaning up and organizing.
As you can see, Mr. E is a big help around the house.

And an ode to the present of the season, E's bat... of course, E likes the free party favor more than anything else that he got for Christmas...

E loves his daddy...

Last, but not least, shots of the little guy from his school... congrats little guy on your first graduation. As these pictures show, my mom might be right - he might be swinging from our furniture soon. Yikes!

And, for the very last, my favorite - I love these "old men" chilling in their toddler chairs....

Hope everyone's new year is off to a good start...Happy 2013!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year - Weeks 44-45

New year, new blog post...finally!

What better way to start the new year than to re-cap the last few days of 2012.

We could not have asked for a better end to 2012. With deals closing in time for Christmas, family in town, a wedding and lots of toys, yummy food and Christmas baking in between, it was a great time.

Mr. E - congratulations on your first Christmas, we can't wait to celebrate many more with you. And best wishes and congratulations to Uncle Matthew and Emily on getting married.

(gotta love the festive fabric, right?)

Some fun, non-Christmas, photos from around the house...

And now for the highlight of Weeks 44 & 45 - Christmas!

Definitely one of the best parts of Christmas 2012 was all of the family time.
A few of our favorite family photos...thank you to the Peachtree Presbyterian Christmas Tree for being a great backdrop for so many of these:

A special mention goes to the cousins, Baby E and Baby H.
Happy First Christmas to you both!

Another great part of Christmas - all of the food.
Whether it was Christmas Day Brunch (a new tradition we liked so much we forgot to take photos), Christmas dinner (again, we ate it too fast to take any pictures), or all of the other fun treats in between, we had lots of fun in the kitchen (and eating at some of our favorite restaurants). Thank you Mr. E for being a great helper (and a special thanks to my sister and mom for being two of the best chefs/cooks ever)!

Let's just say we won't be waiting until Christmas 2013 to be making more of those cinnamon rolls and sugar cookies :)

A new tradition for this year, the morning Christmas Eve service at Peachtree Presbyterian. Not sure how much E got out of it, but J and I loved seeing all of the children and watching the animals process through the sanctuary. Who knew camels were so tall?!

Here is E watching from the pews and taking a break in the tunnel below Roswell Road.

Did we mention all of the presents?! - I don't think E knows what to do with all of his new toys...

...but guess what the favorite toy was...the toy bat that was a favor from a birthday party!

All in all, it was a great Christmas holiday...and hopefully, one we won't soon forget. Until next year, Merry Christmas 2012!

Best Wishes for a Happy New Year :)
