New year, new blog post...finally!
What better way to start the new year than to re-cap the last few days of 2012.
We could not have asked for a better end to 2012. With deals closing in time for Christmas, family in town, a wedding and lots of toys, yummy food and Christmas baking in between, it was a great time.
Mr. E - congratulations on your first Christmas, we can't wait to celebrate many more with you. And best wishes and congratulations to Uncle Matthew and Emily on getting married.
The Official Week 44-45 Pictures
(gotta love the festive fabric, right?)
Some fun, non-Christmas, photos from around the house...
And now for the highlight of Weeks 44 & 45 - Christmas!
Definitely one of the best parts of Christmas 2012 was all of the family time.
A few of our favorite family photos...thank you to the Peachtree Presbyterian Christmas Tree for being a great backdrop for so many of these:
A special mention goes to the cousins, Baby E and Baby H.
Happy First Christmas to you both!
Another great part of Christmas - all of the food.
Whether it was Christmas Day Brunch (a new tradition we liked so much we forgot to take photos), Christmas dinner (again, we ate it too fast to take any pictures), or all of the other fun treats in between, we had lots of fun in the kitchen (and eating at some of our favorite restaurants). Thank you Mr. E for being a great helper (and a special thanks to my sister and mom for being two of the best chefs/cooks ever)!
Let's just say we won't be waiting until Christmas 2013 to be making more of those cinnamon rolls and sugar cookies :)
A new tradition for this year, the morning Christmas Eve service at Peachtree Presbyterian. Not sure how much E got out of it, but J and I loved seeing all of the children and watching the animals process through the sanctuary. Who knew camels were so tall?!
Here is E watching from the pews and taking a break in the tunnel below Roswell Road.
Did we mention all of the presents?! - I don't think E knows what to do with all of his new toys...
...but guess what the favorite toy was...the toy bat that was a favor from a birthday party!
All in all, it was a great Christmas holiday...and hopefully, one we won't soon forget. Until next year, Merry Christmas 2012!
Best Wishes for a Happy New Year :)
