Hello again from the Cohns. Quite a bit has happened since our last post. Not only did we travel to NYC to help Allison find a certain dress, to Athens to visit with old friends and down to Gainesville, Florida for an early Father's Day visit, but the past month also included our first visit back to Piedmont Hospital's emergency room (thanks to a smashed finger), several trips to the pool, and countless readings of Go, Dog. Go!, E's favorite book. All in all, it was a great month, even if it did include a few bumps and bruises and plenty of long car trips!
The Official Month 16 Stats:
26.8 pounds and 31.5 inches, roughly the 50% percentile for both, at least according to Babycenter. We love our perfectly "average" little one. Here he is, reading his favorite book.
The "breakup".
Thank you, Nana K for watching E while we ventured to NYC.
NYC Baby! Love. This. City.
Allison and Jared were the best hosts:)
Staying at the Ritz @ Battery Park was such a nice treat.
Isn't that Lady Liberty outside of our window?!...and chocolate-covered strawberries...love it!
The trip was a success...she said yes to the dress.
Other fun shots from around the city...including my beloved chicken and rice, which lived up to all of the hype and expectations, the High Line (awesome), the Freedom Tower, Paulie Gee's (my current fave Brooklyn NYC pizza place) and hanging out with Auntie Allison at Buy Buy Baby of all places. It was a short but wonderful trip. Can't wait to go back.
On to Athens! How cute are E and M?!
To continue our month of travelling...the antithesis of Athens (at least in part), Gainesville, Florida. At least the food and company were good in the land of the Gators.
On a side note, who knew you could get a good bulgogi omelette and a tasty cafe con leche in Gainesville?! H/T Country Foodly and Cafe Mi Apa!
Here are the boys post one dining adventure.
In between our ventures near and far, we did our fair share of just hanging out. At least this month, our little man loves eating cherries (he must get that from his dad), seaweed snacks and anything and everything from Chipotle. Maybe the French approach to food a la Bringing Up Bebe is a success? Likewise, the pool seems to be a big hit, as is everything dog-related. All in all, we seem to have a good sport on our hands and we're enjoying nearly every moment :)
Last, but not least, the photo shoot.
Looks like someone was more game this time.
Thanks for stopping by:)
