Here we are again, another month has passed, another Mother's Day has gone by and it has almost been a full year since I have been back at work. Time flies!
I know I probably say this about every month, but this month was truly special: E started walking on May 8th (we love our little Frankenstein), he can do the motions from the "If You're Happy and You Know It" song and he is currently trying to master the "Itsy Bitsy Spider", he dances when his toys sing to him and he even tries to "cut" his own orange slices (its a mess, trust me). We also welcomed a new member of the family this month - Miss A. Congrats to Matthew and Emily. She is absolutely precious. I am so looking forward to watching A & E grow up together. Fingers crossed that I will get invited back to hold Miss A soon. Aww.....cousies.....love it!
As we get ready to go on our first vacation without him this weekend, it is fun looking back and seeing just how much our little man has grown in the past few months. Wow.
We love our little man.
The Official Month 15 Pictures and Stats:
We are raising a square...E is 30 1/2 inches tall (30% percentile) and weighs 25 pounds/3.4oz (80% percentile). It is almost official, at least for the past few months, that he hates the photoshoots, so this is the best we could do.
Come on, E, it's not that bad!
So, it would be nice to say that we have taken lots of trips and kept busy with a wide variety of activities, but not so much. At least not this month. Instead, it was lots of hanging out with our little guy. No complaints here...some shots below from our month of hanging out:
holding the umbrella for dad...
playing with coasters is lots of fun apparently...
it looks like E is finally playing with his pet snail toy...
he also likes to "help" with laundry...especially folding...
reading House Beautiful....just like mom
strollin...
playing outside (can't wait to get our new backyard!)...though E is mostly concerned with the sticks right now
doctor's visit
our attempt at reading with E...
eating is a fun adventure around the house these days...despite the inevitable mess (Goldie is a big fan), the high chair offers us some of the best photo ops for obvious reasons...
Last, but not least, Mother's Day 2013.
We had a great time hanging out with family for brunch and then hanging out with E & J at home. Of course, we snuck in a quick trip to Target too. If nothing else, it proved to be a great source of photos. These expressions from E are classic.
Our attempt at family photos...at least Goldie was a good subject!
Love these boys...
Time for some E wrangling...what a great day. Thanks guys :)
Thanks for stopping by.
