Holy....Week 7

Who else can't believe its already April? Where is the time going? Much like the surrounding religious festivities that permeate this week, this week felt very special and transformative to us as this was the first week that it felt like E moved to a new stage in his young life. In addition to growing out of his newborn clothes and wearing the three month clothes for the first time, during this week we saw E smile for the first time and really begin to make the transition away from a newborn infant into a more responsive baby. While we are sad and sentimental that the newborn stage is quickly passing us by, energized by this Holy Week, we are excited and filled with hope to see what the next season will bring.

Here goes our disjointed weekly post/our excuse to post tons of pics of our little one:

The Official Week 7 Photos (the little man is growing!!!)

Out with the old (newborn clothes) and in with the new (welcome 3 month clothes):

E finally outgrew his "going home" outfit (mom is sad)...
...but, that just means he has more cute outfits to share with the world!

As the pictures below show, E put the new digs to good use. Goldie is just sad that E doesn't include her in the fun more often.

Goldie wants to join E for a walk
As his smile suggests, E is beginning to love Bumbo.
Playmat Fun - E is slowly beginning to learn how to bat the different creatures (its tough work).
Playmat creatures from E's perspective - looks like fun!
In keeping with the theme of hope and change, we finally got E's baby book done (or at least filled out up to this point).  It feels AMAZING to get this done. Now we have yet another place to track important milestones...like E's first smile this week. Fingers crossed we can keep it up to date. Thanks to the blog, Young House Love for the great idea.

Another important development of the week - OPENING DAY of baseball. Dad was super excited to share this special day with his little guy. Too bad the Braves didn't feel the need to welcome E to their fan base with a win. Oh well, there is only like a 100+ more games to go. Go Braves!

Last, but not least, E had a good (actually great) Good Friday. He celebrated by visiting his Great Grandma and his cousins (who will be bringing him a cousie soon too). Too bad that E is not a predictable guest, so he unfortunately missed out on any Good Friday services and what would be his first Passover. We can't wait for E to attend his first Good Friday and Passover events next year - guess we'll need to order him a mini yamaka!

Off to visit Great Grandma and Cousins...
Happy Good Friday/Passover everyone, hopefully, we'll get some Easter pics posted here soon!

  1. Aww I can't wait to meet him! I think he looks like you, Melissa. Glad to see he's enjoying his tummy time frog thingy :)
